This journey has been more than just hair, it's been about finding my voice, trusting my vision and stepping fully into who I am as a stylist. Taking the leap into business ownership was one of the biggest risks I've taken, but also the most defining. What started as passion behind the chair has grown into something I can truly call my own. Every client, every challenge, and every lesson has helped shape not just my craft, but the woman and entrepreneur I'm becoming.
I'm not just building a clientele, I'm building my name, a brand, and a space that reflects me. This is independence, growth and the beginning of a legacy.
Independent, on purpose
Rebeca is a hairstylist working for herself out of Artel Salon, a salon on 6th Avenue West in Mount Pleasant. She rents her chair there, she does not run the salon. What that means for you is simple: the person you booked is the person who does the work, start to finish.
Appointments are one at a time. No double-booking a colour over someone else's blow-dry, no handing your rinse to whoever is free. It makes for a slower schedule and a much better haircut.
How she works
Consultation before scissors
Your hair history, what you have been fighting with, and what you can realistically keep up. Reference photos are welcome and honesty is better.
Shapes that grow out
A cut is planned for six weeks from now, not for the walk to your car. Weight and length are placed so grow-out stays wearable.
Colour in a plan, not a panic
Big lightening changes get mapped across sessions when that is what your hair needs. You will hear that before you are in the chair, not halfway through.
You leave knowing what to do
How to dry it, where to part it, which two products actually matter. Nothing you do not need.
